Mix Salad = Mix Emotions

Okay...I just finished eating a huge serving of food. We got a guest from Hong Kong and well, my mom toured them around and then we treat them to dinner. So really, I AM FULL! Anyways, I was having a mix emotions right now...I met my friends kanina and it was so fun! We talked about alot of things, Pam tried to sell stuff (unsuccessfully), Jodie laughed her heart out, Cherry got sinigang, Leslie finished everything *cheers*, I drove us to the place. It was really really nice because I really really miss them!! We had so much fun and it was really really nice to talk and laugh with them, too bad we are not complete, I'm missing other people too...

Mix emotions, yup, sometimes you are happy sometimes you are not, sometimes you feel like giving up, sometimes you are just wondering when should you give up. i really really am inside a salad bowl, with lots of mixes and the toss and turns just won't stop, it is something so colorful yet it took alot of tossing and turning to be perfect and tasty. Life is like that for me right now, I'm happy but not happy <-- strange 'aye? Sad but not sad <-- and so my list goes on like this. I don't know what is happening to me, maturing? I hope so. In denial of something? Aren't we all.

As a resolution to my confuse stage in life, I want to do another layout...well, i hope the next layout would cheer me up and well be a brighter one! so wish me luck!

Ps. to self, using the word "really" is really really funny!

Harry Potter 3 and Veronica Guerin

Yesterday I went to Eastwood to watch Harry Potter and it was nice although the story is a little bit draggy for me. I still love the first Harry Potter, although I haven't seen the second one. Anyways, it was a cute movie, the first scene together with the **** aunt was funny...anyways the actors are really grown up, comparing it to the Harry Potter movies before, I think they should do all the series in a hurry if they want to make Harry stay the same age and look young.

Veronica Guerin, a true story, a journalist who risked her life just to make sure that the truth will prevail and come out. I love the story although it is something pitiful to see. Why do good people have to die? I felt so attach to the movie, because I also dream to be a writer, and not just an ordinary writer, but someone like her...who faces death unscared. I love the way she really pursue and not stop till she knows the truth and uncover the secrets hidden. It is just too bad that she died. Check out the movie for I higly recommend it.

I was supposed to watch All my life today, it is a local movie that brings out a lot tears and a lot of intrigues to people who haven't seen it. Unfortunately, I won't be able to see it tonight...

Singapore Awaits me...

Okay tom morning will be my departure and I'm going to see the wonderful Singapore, I'm excited of course! I mean who wouldn't be right? Traveling is such a pleasure and a way to learn and know other people's place and culture.

The details that I know is that we will be staying in a hotel in Orchard Road (yeah, it is like Rodeo Drive of Beverly Hills) and I love to see it...I'm gonna shop (alone!) because my grandmother and uncle are the only people that will be coming with me. But I guess it is okay, after all, I think Singapore is one of the safetest place in the planet...If i can survive Manila, why not Singapore.

About Singapore:
1. You can finish the city (end-to-end = north to south) in a matter of 30 minutes.
2. 5566 is a VERY popular band there, I got to have a souvenir about them.
3. The Great Singapore Sale is "on" Singapore right now, so i'm hoping to be able to buy more.

So anyways, I'll miss tabulas, I dont want to ways any Singapore dollars by just going to the net. After all the exchange rate is too high. Imagine 1 US DOLLAR = 1.708 SINGAPORE DOLLAR. How high is that? I'm going miss you guys...everyone who bothers to read my tabulas...I'll be back on Tuesday and I'm hoping (cross fingers) to buy something. I'm thinking on investing on a good pair of shoes and um..jewellry?

Singapore it has been a blast!

411:
US $100 = Sing $ 170 (really big right!!)
Orchard Road = lots of shopping malls!!
Taxi fare starts @ 2.40 every 10meters or so 0.10
Food Court are all over the place, and the most affordable thing to eat at

FIRST DAYof staying and seeing Singapore is amazing, the place is so tidy and the place was full of plants (trees and orchids!), the air was good to breathe, the people are nice although the one who pick us up from the airport seems a little bit "too-nice" The hotel is the Peninsula Hotel that is located near some malls and the famous Raffles City shopping centre. I went to the largest mall in Asia which is the Sunctec City where the Fountain of Wealth is located and it is the largest fountain and it was really amazing! I thought the great singapore sale would let me buy a lot of things, but hell! the things even cost much more even though it is already in sale!

SECOND DAYcity tour in the morning I bought a diamond pendant (it costs too much, but I just couldnt resist the temptation on buying it!), then we went to Takashimaya (in orchard road) then went to Sentosa Island, it is really amazing, although the entrance fee for the cable car cost much, then we went to the Underwater World, I took alot of pictures, view it in my site click here,on the site are some of the other stuff in Singapore that I took...

THIRD DAYmy uncle went away to Indonesia, leaving me and my grandmother to further take the Singapore adventure (haha!!) we went to Orchard Road and almost (just almost) finish all the malls in there, they open so late though...and closes so early! All the things there are really expensive! Oh, I bought a 5566 album, it cost alot too imagine $22.95! I bought it in HMV a popular music store in Singapore, I think more popular than Tower Records, the place is really huge it dominated most part of the mall (The Hereen) i went to. I want to buy almost all of the 5566 stuff their but it is too expensive... bought an expensive shoes too but the shoes is just cute and perfect, and different!

FOURTH DAYi bought a nike shoes and went to their clothes market which is practically organize and modern because you can use your credit card...oh i forgot to mention, you can pay your taxi through your credit card! How neat is that! Then off we went to the airport (you can use the internet in there for FREE!)...

note: some parts are remove because it would be way too long and boring for some reader!

New Layout?!

Yup, I'm tired and wanna change the look to a brighter one, so I'm currently constructing a new layout...hope that you guys will like it...

Yesterday was the worst day of my life, got caught in the Color-coding scheme, obstruction of the way, plus I forgot my license..I was crying and crying and the police kept on telling me to stop crying because people might think he is harassing us. yes, thankfully I was with rosellen we were about to go to our interview in Makati, I didnt know there is no exception on makati towards color coding! Damn!! Thankfully the police was kind and nice enough, so all he did was charge me with obstruction (the lowest form of offense) so i only paid 150! It was supposed to be 750 + seminar, but well, he did saw that I was really falling apart and well, he gave me a consideration. Stupid me for leaving my driver license (i really dont know i left it!) so we where late with our interview and I take full responsiblity over that...next we went to get my car plate (since i didnt have a license, i gave up my plate) then went home. Oh did i mention that after we did the interview my tire went broke on me? Yeah, talk about worst of the worst...

Anyways, that was yesterday...at least it now ended...today I'm going to hunt for a new car...finally getting one for me...we lack cars in our house you see...oh, monday, back to work!! (sadly!)

Work + Cute Children + Boredom

Today, the issue I'm gonna face is totally "how to overcome your boredom" I'm so bored and I got nothing to do. I want to go out, my dad won't allow me to. I hate it! Ugh...

Work, yup, tomorrow I'll start working, and I know it will be hard since it will be a new phase in my life. Yup, I'm experiencing the rush and how new it feels. While my friends are in school (university) studying, here I am, working on Makati...for Burlington Industries Philippines. So hey, don't disturb me while I'm in work!

Okay, I just finished watching Bringing Down the House with Queen Latifah and Steve Martin and I'm totally crushing on this young guy...the kid..he is cute and a great actor! So I'm going to list down some child wonders that I'm currently fond of and I really salute them for their wonderful acting!

Randomnly Selected (top 5 as of now!):

1. Jersey Girl - Raquel Castro

2. Bringing Down the House - Angus T. Jones

3. Daddy Day Care - Khamani Griffin

5566 + Quitting OJT news + New Content...

First of all, look at your right --> (yup, there is a new content, it is called Random Images) every month, or week, if i have the time, I'll update it with the top 5 (min) to 10 (max) of my choice...this weeks theme -- ""Licious Guys"

Being a 5566 addict means alot to me...duh! everyone who knows me, knows that i got a huge crush on Tony Sun! My god! I want to see him again. The first time I saw him (it was in MVP) I fell in love (so low right?) anyways, I love the way he acts and looks...so if you don't like him..just shut up! oh my gosh, it is official, the Regent company has launch a new line of potato chips called --- "5-five 6-six" I havent seen it, but i heard it is really good! haha...i have to buy one and collect it!!! Yum yum... i'm hoping they would make it in individual (each characters) also. Then maybe a different flavor for each? haha..crazy idea right? Anyways, I'm so excited to see it...so guys, help me buy one!! haha...

Funny how one day I talked about our work, the next, it was back to zero again...we planned to quit the work on that company since it hasn't aided us in pretty much everything. So we are now back in square one, it isn't nice since being stuck up in nothing, but it is really hard because if we do accept the company we wont be able to do anything on the content of the paper, so basically I'm (we're) also lost... we are planning on working on either Chilis or TGIF (so visit me!) haha...I'll be your host this evening...just kidding!

Loving something...

I really love this song by Gary Valenciano, it is really has a nice meaning to it and I really love the way it was delivered. read the lyrics below and I hope you'll like it!

HOW DID YOU KNOW

I remember so well The day that you came into my life You asked for my name You had the most beautiful smile My life started to change I'd wake up each day feeling alright With you right by my side Makes me feel things will work out just fine How did you know I needed someone like you in my life That there was an empty space in my heart You came at the right time in my life I'll never forget How you brought the sun to shine in my life And took all the worries and fears that I had I guess what I'm really trying to say It's not everyday that someone like you comes my way No words can express how much I love you

Watch fear factor every monday on AXN 8 pm I really love Megan and Adam! Go guys!

Filipinos Won! Be proud!

Blonde and Blue Eyes -- By Patricia Evangelista
(Following is the extemporaneous speech of Patricia Evangelista, a 19-year-old, Speech Communications sophomore of University of the Philippines in Diliman, QC, in the 2004 International Public Speaking competition conducted by the English Speaking Union (ESU) in London on May 14. Patricia bested 58 other student contestants from 37 English-speaking countries, including the United States, United Kingdom and Australia. The board of judges' decision was unanimous, according to contest chairman Brian Hanharan of the British Broadcasting Corporation.)

When I was little, I wanted what many Filipino children all over the country wanted. I wanted to be blond, blue-eyed, and white. I thought if I just wished hard enough and was good enough, I'd wake up on Christmas morning with snow outside my window and freckles across my nose!

More than four centuries under western domination does that to you. I have sixteen cousins. In a couple of years, there will just be five of us left in the Philippines, the rest will have gone abroad in search of "greener pastures." It's not just an anomaly; it's a trend; the Filipino diaspora.

Today, about eight million Filipinos are scattered around the world. There are those who disapprove of Filipinos who choose to leave. I used to. Maybe this is a natural reaction of someone who was left behind, smiling for family pictures that get emptier with each succeeding year.

Desertion, I called it. My country is a land that has perpetually fought for the freedom to be itself. Our heroes offered their lives in the struggle against the Spanish, the Japanese, the Americans. To pack up and deny that identity is tantamount to spitting on that sacrifice.

Or is it? I don't think so, not anymore. True, there is no denying this phenomenon, aided by the fact that what was once the other side of the world is now a twelve-hour plane ride away. But this is a borderless world where no individual can claim to be purely from where he is now.

My mother is of Chinese descent, my father is a quarter Spanish, and I call myself a pure Filipino -- a hybrid of sorts resulting from a combination of cultures.

Each square mile anywhere in the world is made up of people of different ethnicities, with national identities and individual personalities. Because of this, each square mile is already a microcosm of the world. In as much as this blessed spot that is England is the world, so is my neighborhood back home.

Seen this way, the Filipino diaspora, or any sort of dispersal of populations, is not as ominous as so many claim. It must be understood. I come from a Third World country, one that is still trying mightily to get back on its feet after many years of dictatorship. But we shall make it, given more time. Especially now, when we have thousands of eager young minds who graduate from college every year. They have skills. They need jobs. We cannot absorb them all.

A borderless world presents a bigger opportunity, yet one that is not so much abandonment but an extension of identity. Even as we take, we give back. We are the 40,000 skilled nurses who support the UK's National Health Service. We are the quarter-of-a-million seafarers manning most of the world's commercial ships. We are your software engineers in Ireland, your construction workers in the Middle East, your doctors and caregivers in North America, and your musical artists in London's West End.

Nationalism isn't bound by time or place. People from other nations migrate to create new nations, yet still remain essentially who they are. British society is itself an example of a multi-cultural nation, a melting pot of races, religions, arts and cultures. We are, indeed, in a borderless world!

Leaving sometimes isn't a matter of choice. It's coming back that is. The Hobbits of the shire traveled all over Middle-Earth, but they chose to come home, richer in every sense of the word. We call people like these balikbayans or the 'returnees' -- those who followed their dream, yet choose to return and share their mature talents and good fortune.

In a few years, I may take advantage of whatever opportunities come my way. But I will come home. A borderless world doesn't preclude the idea of a home. I'm a Filipino, and I'll always be one. It isn't about just geography; it isn't about boundaries. It's about giving back to the country that shaped me.

And that's going to be more important to me than seeing snow outside my windows on a bright Christmas morning.

Mabuhay and thank you.

--was it fascinating and inspirational?

Forward to your Tabulas or anything you can blog on...

If there is one person you can't stop thinking about, post this same exact sentence in your journal.

Not gonna say exactly who it is right now.. but do you ever feel like you can't get this certain someone out of your head? You just try to do something else, to get your mind off of it, just for one single second.. but it still doesn't work. Nothing at all will keep you from thinking of this person. That's how I feel right now.
